IEvery February, The Bridge looks beyond itself to bring redemptive change to our world. Each year we choose a missions project that will bring Kingdom change in obedience to the Great Commission of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20). To date these projects have raised over $1,000,000 and affected over 20 countries around the globe. The following are the past projects the church has supported:
2009: Building on the Cornerstone: Haiti $133,000 was raised for a new church building in San Raphael, economic development in rural Haiti, and to finish as orphanage in Pignon.
2008: A Nation at our Doorstep $125,000 raised for the El Puente Church plant. Reaching the local Spanish-speaking community in Fresno.
2007: Building a Bridge to Rwanda $94,000 was raised for Wellspring Academy (K-6 Christian school) to build a learning resource center with library and computer labs, a sports facility and playground.
2006: China…A Billion Reasons $84,894 was raised for the Red River Grill in Central China, to provide training for two Chinese leaders in the church and for campus ministry outreach to young people.
2005: Passing the Truth On...& On $73,645 was raised to support the Latin American Training Network (LATN) of the Evangelical Free Church Missions.
2004: The Persecuted Church $85,421 was raised for the Persecuted Church, specifically for Indonesia, Vietnam and Sudan.
2003: Teach & Train to Serve in Russia $75,050 was raised to 1) teach students in spiritual leadership at St. Petersburg Christian University and 2) train Christian camping leadership.
2002: By All Means… Win Some in Cuba! $72,109 was raised for Cuba through AWANA and Haggai Institute.
2001: Building with Love in Fresno $84,469 was raised to purchase a Samaritan Woman TLF Home for women released from prison.
2000: Yet to Know Through Radio $59,173 was raised to purchase equipment and an upgraded radio station in Suriname.
1999: Increasing the Flock $44,471 was raised to complete the Bubbling Springs Multipurpose Complex in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
1998: Impact Our World $38, 302 was raised to impact four areas of the world through evangelism: Italy and Europe through a CD by Scott Hansen; France through the Greenhouse Bookstore and Café; El Salvador through a sports field court; Fresno through training and outreach.
1997: Break the Ground $34,784 was raised for church planting among Muslim Waja people from Central Nigeria.
1996: The Unreached Are Reachable in Kazakhstan $31,114 was raised for a Training Center in Almaty to train Christian nationals.
1995: Proclaiming The Risen Son $30,500 was raised to send Andy and Lorna Gilbert to Fukuoka, Japan where they helped plant an Evangelical Free Church.
1994: Carry The Light to India, Russia, El Salvador & Hong Kong $26, 107 was raised to: 1) train six Indian church planters 2) send Mark & Julie Morgenstern to Ukraine as career missionaries of the Evangelical Free Church mission 3) send 28 short-termers primarily to El Salvador and Hong Kong.
1993: The Harvest Emerges… Send Reapers $26,636 was raised for outgoing expenses for two Evangelical Free Church missionary families: the Rhodes family going to Romania and the David family going to Spain.
1992: Bill Glass Ministries Prison Weekend $21,663 was raised to support a Bill Glass "Weekend of Champions" ministry.
1991: Radio Broadcasting Begins in Georgia $24,062 was raised to provide funds for a year of broadcasts to continue in Georgia, a southern republic of the former Soviet Union
1990: Christian Chinese Leaders Trained $24,847 was raised to allow two Chinese Christian leaders to attend the Haggai Institute Evangelism Training in Singapore.
1989: Reaching a New Language Group Through Radio $17,109 was raised to develop a short-wave radio ministry in, a southern republic of the former Soviet Union.
1988: Hmong Translation of the Jesus Film $12,874 was raised to translate the "Jesus" film into the Hmong language with the help of the Hmong Alliance Church of Fresno
1987: Hansen's Outgoing Expense $10,000 was raised to underwrite the moving and travel expenses of Scott & Michelle Hansen to begin ministry in Italy.
