Josh learned what it meant to have an authentic relationship with Jesus
Christ right here at The Bridge. He grew up with solid biblical training here
through Sunday School and AWANA, as well as from his family.
Despite this, Josh drifted far from God and the church in his junior high and
high school years. By the time he was a freshman in college his life had lost
meaning and purpose. And then he discovered that God was not finished with him
yet.
God used the prayers of Josh's Dad and many others, and like the prodigal son,
Josh returned to the Lord and His people. Josh wanted to follow God with all of
his heart, so got involved with college ministry every way he could find to do
so. While attending Fresno City College, Josh met his wife Chris, and he became
the College Intern here at The Bridge.
Josh and Chris were married in 1995, and upon graduating from Fresno State
with a Bachelor’s Degree in History, Josh and Chris moved to Southern California
where Josh began studies at Talbot School of Theology. During that time, God
opened the door for him to return to The Bridge to serve as the College Pastor.
Josh finished his seminary studies, and finished his graduate work, at Mennonite
Brethren Biblical Seminary, here in Fresno.
Currently, Josh oversees our college ministry, is a key leader involved with
pre-marital counseling and serves as one of our teaching pastors. Josh loves to
build relationships, work on creative teams, share God’s Word, and help others
discover their spiritual gifts through ministry. In addition to the work he does
here, Josh and Chris enjoy hanging out with their three boys Noah (age 8),
Samuel (age 6) and Gabriel (age 4). |
