I was born in Sonora, CA to Dude and Catherine Underwood and they did not want to send me home from the hospital in the work truck, so my Dad offered to bring back the motorcycle, if that would be a more acceptable way to take me home. I hear I made a great baby Jesus in the Christmas play until they dropped me. It was probably confusing when one of the wise men, played by my Dad, was comforting me. I hear I was fine, but it may also explain a thing or two… We lived in Clear Lake for a while. Farming and animals were involved, though my Dad officially worked for the state. I remember it was a lot of fun to grow stuff, play in the dirt and in the off season we’d have a dirt track for bikes and a dune buggy. Good times. We were in Wyoming for a year, and came back here to California after the earthquake in Coalinga. The Underwood family trade is construction, so my Dad and Uncle Jeep worked on re-building Coalinga, and we’ve been there ever since. I went to West Hills College and then graduated from Fresno City before going on to Fresno State for a degree in Liberal Studies. The closest I’ve come to using that degree was substitute teaching for about a year, instead I’ve worked in offices ever since. I am thrilled to be about the Lord’s business here at The Bridge since January of 2007. God is loving, blessing and teaching me every day.

My 3 favorite C.S. Lewis quotes are,
“A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word, 'darkness' on the walls of his cell.”
“Can a mortal ask questions which God finds unanswerable? Quite easily, I should think. All nonsense questions are unanswerable.”

“Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important.”
