Nicknames: Mickey, Meech
Birthday: March 9th
Favorite Foods: Sushi, cucumber sandwiches, and home made ice cream
Favorite Movie: ??? Hard to say... I like many movies...
Favorite Team: Fresno State Bulldogs, 49ers
Most Embarrassing Moment: "My freshman year in High School I was walking
after class and I walked through a puddle of water... probably a bad idea... I
ended up slipping and getting mud all over my bum and my pant legs... in front
of everybody. Nobody was home to bring me a change of pants so a teacher had to
drive me home so I could change. Talk about a humiliating High School
experience!"
Interesting Fact: I actually am a kid at heart. I love working in
children's ministries, becoming someone the kids can trust. I know how to
skatboard, and love playing ultimate Frisbee.
Michele was born and raised in Easton, California. She went to High School with
all the big shot basketball players, Deshawn Stevenson and Demetrius Porter,
just to name a couple. It was a small town school where everybody knew
everybody, and was in eachother's business.
In High School the only way Michele was exposed to Jesus was when FCA would give
a free lunch on Thursday afternoons. This was a big deal because they were
allowed to go off campus to the church across the street, and technically only
Seniors were allowed off campus during lunch, unless of course we wanted to go
to this lunch. She was involved in the band at W.H.S. Through this she met some
great people that invited her to church. Through church and FCA Michele learned
what she could about Jesus, but mainly was just there to be with friends. After
some time she finally accepted Jesus into her heart, but didn't fully grasp the
reality and significance of her salvation until college. Michele was involved
with a group called Campus Crusade for Christ, and through this group she really
came to know Jesus in a personal way, and call him her own. Michele learned what
her gifts were, and what it meant to be a leader. Jesus was becoming real, a
true friend.
She graduated from Fresno State with a BA in liberal studies. After graduating
Michele did an internship with Crusade, and then was hired here at The Bridge.
Michele has come to embrace her passion for leading younger children and
mentoring them. She says, "I don't know what the future holds "but as for me I
watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my savior (Micah 7:7)" in expectation
for what He calls me to do next." |
