Most Embarrassing Moment: "While sitting in the front row of my former
church in Kingsburg my Freshman year of college, I fell fast asleep. Not just
any sleep either, a vast, deep, dreamy sleep. God must have thought that I
really needed to hear the sermon that morning because he woke me to the sound of
my own Bible (a huge, fat study Bible that weighs more than most babies)
miraculously flying through the air and landing in the middle of the center isle
directly in front of the pulpit. Ya...I felt really lame..."
Spouse: Eve
Anniversary: September 9, 2006
Interesting Fact: Jeff worked at a Christian camp for 2 years where his
nickname was "Draino" because he clogged 4 out of the 5 toilets in the men's
restroom in one day.
A Bit About Jeff: Jeff was born and raised in a Swedish village called
Kingsburg in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley. He accepted Jesus Christ as
his savior at a very young age and attended the Evangelical Covenant Church of
Kingsburg until his freshman year of college. There isn't enough space to detail
his spiritual journey, but he says, "Its been a wild ride from day one!"
After graduating from Kingsburg High School in 2002, Jeff became a Bulldog and
attended Fresno State for 4 years. He graduated in May of 2006 with a degree in
Music Education. Although God did many amazing things in his life prior to
college, the largest and most significant spiritual growth in Jeff's life took
place in his college years. Starting college with aspirations of becoming a High
School band director, God quickly shifted gears and showed him that he was
called to full time Ministry.
Since graduating in May, Jeff plans to "Rock it out for Jesus...no pun intended"
for a year as College Intern and then begin working in full time ministry while
attending seminary pursuing a Masters of Divinity degree.
What Does Jeff Do as College Intern? Jeff helps the college pastor, Josh
Hawley, oversee the college ministry at The Bridge. His duties include speaking,
leading worship, coordinating campus ministry, administrative preparation and
student networking, just to name a few. As college intern, Jeff is basically a
college pastor in training. |
